National Leader of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada

Reaping the Whirlwind

Around the globe and especially in the Middle East, we see increasing evidence that technology and the rejection of the Christian worldview have unleashed a viral chaos. The genie is out of the bottle and doesn’t want to go back in.

In the West, we have the sodomites in the streets and on the airwaves, demanding (always demanding) new rules to inhibit those who do not share their enthusiasm for all things perverse. In the Middle East, it’s a confusing array of Islamic sects poised to cut each others’ throats—once they eliminate their main targets, Christians and Jews. Trying to take sides in those conflicts is like playing Russian Roulette with a bullet in every chamber…

Syria is an ongoing bloodbath. Egypt, once seen as a place where democracy was emerging from the shadows of dictatorship, is now a place where all the pent-up fury of misplaced allegiance and anguished vengeance is spilling into the streets, bringing with it confusion and more bloodshed.

The US is paralyzed, partly by finances and partly by the mixed signals from her president.

When people who should know better abandon the only reliable written source of eternal wisdom—the Bible— and try to create a utopia with human reasoning and a hodge-podge of philosophy and pagan beliefs, they sow into a wind of confusion and will assuredly reap a whirlwind of anarchy.

The West still has time to choose a different course but it will take tremendous courage and commitment. As the prophet Daniel said, regarding the last days: “… the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”. Let us be those people.
